David Alcraft
BPharm, MRPS, MCIM, MIMC, MLES
David Alcraft is a founder Director of Bridgehead
International Ltd. He joined the company in 1995 from the international
consultancy, Hill and Knowlton, where he was Chairman and CEO of
the Healthcare Division responsible for marketing and strategic
consulting in Europe.
He was previously Director of PA Consulting Group’s Pharmaceutical
and Healthcare practice where he worked on or led many strategic,
marketing and R&D evaluations in the USA and several major European
countries.
Before that David was based in Switzerland as Managing Director
for Fisons’ subsidiaries in Central Europe, with sales force,
marketing, clinical research, regulatory and manufacturing responsibilities.
He learned his pharmaceutical marketing skills in the 7 years before
this in product management, both in Sweden and the UK for Astra,
and in the UK for the Glaxo group. He began his career with 3 years
in pharmaceutical manufacturing at Glaxo.
David has previously served as Chairman of Zarpex Biosciences Limited,
a discovery stage virology company and Lincoln Medical Ltd., a medical
products company. He has previously served as a Director of Gemini
Research Ltd., a genomics company which subsequently floated on
NASDAQ.
David qualified in London as a Pharmacist, is a Chartered Management
Consultant, and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing,
the Licensing Executives Society and MENSA.
