Fiona
J Paton
BSc, PhD
Fiona Paton is a founder Director of Bridgehead
International Ltd. She joined the company in 1995 after several
years in her own successful consultancy company BioBusiness. Previously
she worked for 12 years in the biotechnology industry and in consulting.
She specialises in providing client companies in the healthcare
and pharmaceutical sectors with an independent view of the technical
validity, competitive position and market potential of R&D projects
for the purposes of acquisition, investment or internal review.
She has led the preparation of Independent Experts’ Reports
to support the flotation of companies such as ProStrakan Group plc,
Vectura Group plc and Lombard Medical Technologies plc on the London
Stock Exchange and Alternative Investment Market. She also works
extensively with growing companies assisting with strategy development
and business planning.
Fiona was previously Senior Consultant in the Life Technologies
Division of the PA Consulting Group, where she led and operated
a broad range of assignments in the healthcare and pharmaceutical
sectors worldwide. Her earlier experience was in project management
for a UK biotechnology company.
Fiona has served as a Director of several start-up companies including
Gemini Research Ltd., a genomics company which subsequently floated
on NASDAQ, and Lincoln Medical Ltd, a medical products company.
She has also been a non-Executive Director of a UK National Health
Service Trust.
