Kevin
Davis
BSc(Hons), PhD
Kevin Davis joined Bridgehead Consulting in 2005
and specialises in the technical and commercial evaluation of bioscience
and healthcare innovations and businesses. Kevin has worked on numerous
projects including due diligence studies for company flotations,
market analyses of new products and pricing and reimbursement projects.
Prior to joining Bridgehead, Kevin spent twelve years in a variety
of academic positions investigating the cell biology, genetics,
molecular biology and biochemistry of cell signalling systems. His
research interests have led to numerous publications in subject
areas as diverse as new molecular biology techniques, human/yeast
transgene methodology and cross-species coupling of functionally-related
proteins and signalling pathways. Technologies developed during
his research were subsequently patented and now form part of the
key platform technology that is the basis of a university spin-out
biotechnology company specialising in facilitating drug discovery
through the transgenic coupling of human G protein-coupled receptors
(GPCRs) to yeast cell signalling cascades and reporter systems.
Kevin was awarded a PhD from Birmingham University for his work
on GPCRs and kexin proteases, having previously gained his BSc in
Biochemistry with Biotechnology, also at Birmingham University.
