Timothy
A J Fitzgerald
BSc(Hons), CEO
Bridgehead International’s CEO, Timothy Fitzgerald,
joined Bridgehead Consulting in July 2001 from Aventis Pharma Portugal,
where he was Deputy General Manager. Prior to this, Tim was Sales
and Marketing Director for Hoechst Marion Roussel Portugal, with
responsibility for commercial operations, including sales force,
business planning, strategic and operational marketing and portfolio
management. He also spent a number of years in Israel as Pharmaceutical
Head and Head of Life Sciences for Hoechst Marion Roussel, where
he ran the Animal Health, Diagnostics and Biologicals businesses,
in addition to the ethical pharmaceutical business.
Tim has extensive sales and marketing experience, both at national
and international level, having held a variety of positions in Hoechst's
International Sales and Marketing Division in Frankfurt and in Hoechst
UK.
Tim originally trained as a Biologist, specialising in physiology
and pharmacology and has considerable commercial experience in a
variety of therapeutic areas including cardiovascular, diabetology
and infective diseases.
In addition to his overall group responsibilities, Tim remains
actively involved in project work across all three principal practice
areas.
Since June 2003, Tim has also taken on the role of Managing Director
at Healthcare Education Services and is currently acting CEO of
AKL Limited, a start-up biopharmaceutical company focusing on the
development of novel asthma therapies.
